Marilyn Monroe's sole owned residence, where she passed away, is at risk of being demolished.

The renowned final home of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe, where her lifeless body was discovered over six decades ago, now stands on the precipice of a significant transformation.

The owner of this historic Brentwood residence, located at 12305 Fifth Helena Drive in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood, has applied for demolition permits, as per information obtained by The Post.

This one-story Hacienda-style estate, nestled on 2,900 square feet at the end of a tranquil cul-de-sac adjacent to San Vicente Boulevard, recently changed ownership for approximately $8.35 million, according to records.

On September 5, the city's Department of Building and Safety granted approval for a "plan check," marking the initial stages of the demolition process for this iconic, albeit tragic, property. However, a formal demolition permit has not been issued as of yet.

This picturesque residence, built in 1929, boasts four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and an array of original architectural features, including beamed ceilings, terra cotta tile floors, and casement windows that whisper tales of old Hollywood.
